World Storytelling Day TRANSFORMATION
„Tales from Andalucía”
World Storytelling Day has its roots in a national day for storytelling in Sweden, circa 1991-2. At that time, an event was organized for March 20 in Sweden called „Alla berättares dag” (All storytellers day). The Swedish national storytelling network passed out sometime after, but the day stayed alive, celebrated around the country by different enthusiasts. Since 1997the event goes beyond borders and it is celebrated in Australia, Mexico and other Latin American countries. Nowadays countries from all over the world come together to celebrate the World Storytelling Day on March 20th
Each year, many of the individual storytelling events that take place around the globe are linked by a common theme.

RS9 Theatre is joining in the celebration in 2017 and for this purpose it has invited the Spanish Storyteller Sonia Carmona to come and share Tales from Andalucia with all of us.

Día Mundial de la Narración Oral: TRANSFORMACIÓN
„Cuentos de Andalucía”
La iniciativa de celebrar el Día Mundial de la Narración Oral tiene sus raíces en Suecia, cuando allá por el año 1991-1992 la Red Nacional Sueca de Narración Oral celebra un evento llamado „Alla berattares dag” (El día de la Narración Oral), más tarde la Red desaparecerá pero la celebración pervivirá gracias al entusiasmo de diversos narradores. Ya desde 1997 el evento traspasa las fronteras y se celebra en Australia, Méjico y otros países iberoamericanos. En la actualidad países de los cinco continentes se unen en la celebración del Día Mundial de la Narración Oral el día 20 de marzo.
Cada año hay un tema sugerido para los cuentos. Estos son los que se han propuesto hasta ahora:

• 2004 – Pájaros
• 2005 – Puentes
• 2006 – La Luna
• 2007 – El nómada
• 2008 – Sueños
• 2009 – Vecinos
• 2010 – Luz y sombra
• 2011 – Agua
• 2012- Árboles
• 2013 – Fortuna y destino.
• 2014 . Monstruos y dragones.
• 2015 – Deseos
• 2016 – Mujeres fuertes
• 2017 . Transformación.

El teatro RS9 se une a la celebración en 2017 y para ello ha invitado a la Narradora Oral española Sonia Carmona a compartir con nosotros Cuentos de Andalucía.
